Better Group was invited to attend the "21st World Business Leaders Roundtable"

The 21st World Business Leaders Roundtable was held at Xiamen International Convention and Exhibition Center in Xiamen on Sep. 7th, 2022.

Since it was incepted in 2002, the World Business Leaders Roundtable has been held 21 times, continuously leveraging the brand effect and boosting regional trade and investment. This theme of this roundtable is "RCEP: A New Vision for Regional Cooperation and Development", RCEP member national dignitaries, diplomatic envoys, international business organization, the world top 500, head of industry leading enterprises were invited, they exchange and discuss around two themes, "Theme One: A Unified Regional Market: Revitalizing Trade and Inveterment" , "Theme Two: Promoting Digital Trade and Stimulating New Economic Growth".  Mr. Chen Shenghe, the business director of Better Technology Group Limited, was also invited to attend.

RCEP stands for Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership , formally implemented on January 1 this year, it is the largest and most important free trade agreement in the Asia-Pacific region. It covers about 30% of the world's population, about 30% of the world's economy and about 30% of the world's total trade. It is the largest free trade area in the world.

The entry into force of the RCEP has provided a rare historical opportunity for greater opening up in the region and given new impetus into investment cooperation and economic recovery of regional countries and the world under the new dual-cycle development pattern. Chinese enterprises have also taken advantage of the RCEP to actively expand trade with other member countries and enjoy policy dividends. In the first half of 2022, China's import and export volume with 14 other RCEP countries reached nearly 6 trillion Yuan, grows by 5.6% year on year, accounting for 30.5% of the total value of China's foreign trade, according to the General Administration of Customs.

"The RCEP is a free trade area with the largest population, the most diverse member institutions and the greatest development potential in the world." Ke Liangdong, member of the Party Group and vice chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), said in a speech that the RCEP has strengthened trade and investment cooperation among member states and become a ballast and stabilizer for the stable development of regional trade and investment.

Robin Van Puyenbroeck, executive director of business development at the World Trade Centers Association, said in a video address that the development of the multilateral trading system has faced huge challenges in recent years. RCEP has become the world's largest regional free trade agreement, Asean countries and China, Japan, South Korea, Australia and other major trading powers, "This shows China's determination to further liberalize trade policies and increase economic integration with the rest of the world, and will bring RCEP member countries, including China, the enterprise huge benefits."
